Leah Wald, CEO of Valkyrie was voted one of the Cointelegraph’s Top 100 people in Blockchain, and landed an impressive 19th position. Wald’s vast array of experience both with the Trad-Fi and De-Fi space was likely to have played a part in this award but it is the impact she had on the institutional assets management business, Valkyrie that takes the spotlight. In 2021, Valkyrie had several successes, from landing $10 million of investment for their series A funding, to launching their own bitcoin futures exchange-traded fund.
We caught up with Wes Cowan, Valkyrie’s Managing Director for DeFi at BTC 2022 who added that Valkyrie’s investment in people has played a big part in the success of the organization.
